The "IROHA" poem from the ancient Japan, uniquely used each and every kana syllable precisely once, used to be used as the basic Japanese syllabary (like ABC in English) in the 19th century. In this poster all the 3 different types of Japanese alphabets are used, "hiragana" in the largest type available in Japanese letterpress, "katakana" in the smallest type as a frame decoration, and Kanji translation of the poem in between the "hiragana" lines.
Hand printed on an exquisite Japanese washi paper, letter pressed. A4 Size.
